You'll travel to schools, churches, and universities to repair and maintain timpani, keyboards, drums, and auxiliary gear on site. You bring the drive and character. Here's the baseline you need to hit the ground running.
Essential logistics
Your own tools
You supply the hand tools. We'll give you a detailed list of exactly what you need before day one.
Reliable transportation
You're comfortable driving to client sites across the metro on a regular schedule.
A clean background check
You'll need to pass a criminal background check and a drug test. Already fingerprinted to work in public schools? Even better.
Core repair capabilities
You don't need to check every single box on day one, but strong timpani experience is our top priority right now.
Timpani skills
High priority- -Clear heads quickly and confidently

Keyboard skills
- -Restring marimbas, xylophones, and vibraphones cleanly
- -Troubleshoot and repair vibraphone and chime pedals, linkages, and frames

- -Confidently tune any drum to its characteristic sound on the spot
- -Quickly diagnose mechanical issues under real-world school conditions
How we support your growth
We don't just assign a job and leave you to figure it out alone. You'll have access to regular virtual meetups to talk shop, a growing library of repair videos, and a network of experienced techs ready to help whenever you hit a tricky situation in the field.
Pay
$20-$35/hr
Depending on experience, plus bonus and incentive opportunities.
Availability
1-2 days
A week to start, about 5 to 6 hours a day. Great for adding reliable days to your week.
