Common questions
Every common repair on this page is priced up front - see the list above by instrument. Anything not listed gets a quote before any work starts, and nothing gets billed without you approving the price first. Work that doesn't fit a flat price runs at our hourly rate of $120.
We come to you. There's no storefront - a technician travels to your school, church, or venue and finishes the job on site in one visit. Only specialist bench work, like a cracked keyboard bar or a cracked chime tube, ever leaves the building, and we manage that shipping for you.
No. Head-change pricing covers the labor - the head itself is billed at our cost, or you can supply your own. Remo and Evans are what we use most, but we'll install any brand you send. Ask and we'll tell you exactly what a specific job needs before you commit.
We have a technician based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, the Triangle (Raleigh area), the Triad (Greensboro area), and Charlotte. We also travel beyond those metros when a job justifies it - recent trips have gone as far as Virginia, Florida, and New Mexico. Tell us where you are and we'll tell you what's possible.
Timpani, concert and marching percussion, keyboards (marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, glockenspiel, chimes), hand and world drums, and auxiliary gear like tambourines and triangles. On timpani we service Ludwig, Yamaha, Adams, Premier, Majestic, American Drum, and Walter Light. Percussion is the only instrument family we touch, so it gets our full attention.
You're covered by a 30-day guarantee. If it isn't working the way it should, tell us and we'll make it right at no cost - usually with a quick video call, with an on-site revisit only if the fix genuinely needs hands on it.
We're an authorized Pearl and Adams dealer, so we do sell new equipment from those two brands. Outside of that, we don't sell whole instruments - just the parts we install, like heads and hardware.
No minimum inside our six home metro areas - we'll come out for a single repair. Outside those areas, work that needs us to travel in requires a $5,000 minimum invoice, which covers the travel and lodging.
