Marimba, xylophone, glockenspiel, and Orff instruments. Frame and rail repair, resonator work, restringing, height adjustments, and full setups. Trusted by directors and programs across Texas and North Carolina

The keyboard nobody else wanted to touch
Marimba and Orff work falls between the cracks: too specialized for a band-instrument shop, too awkward to ship. We do the on-site work ourselves and manage the bench work for you.

“Anthony came to repair our badly damaged vibraphone! Not only did he completely repair the broken frame but cleaned it thoroughly and straightened out a few other issues it had. It is better than new!!”
Emily Hicks

Robert Medina, Fine Arts Director, Magnolia ISD
District programs
“Not only repairing instruments, but taking the time to carefully review our entire percussion inventory and provide honest recommendations. I'm a loyal customer for life.”
Stephen Van Hooser

Bar work, handled end to end
A cracked or out-of-tune bar has to go to a bench specialist. We assess it, arrange the repair, manage the shipping, and reinstall it. You make one call.
Marimba, xylophone, and Orff repair
One instrument or your entire section, the same team handles it. Open a section below for the detail.
| Part | What the job covers |
|---|---|
| Frames and rails | Sagging or loose rails, a wobble, a height mechanism that will not hold, and casters. |
| Resonators | Dents removed, tubes cleaned and realigned, and buzzes and rattles tracked down and fixed. |
| Cord and suspension | A single worn cord or a full restring so the bars sit and speak the way they should. |
| Suspension posts and insulators | The post supports the cord; the insulator stops the bars rubbing against it. We replace both when they wear. |
| Bars | A crack running lengthwise along a bar can usually be repaired and retuned; a crack straight across usually means a replacement bar. Either way it is specialist bench work - we assess it, arrange the repair, manage the shipping both ways, and set the instrument back up. |
| Orff instruments | Sonor, Studio 49, and Peripole: bar pins and pads, box and rail repair, and replacement bars sourced. |
| Glockenspiel | Re-felt, frame and rail repair, and replacing a missing or damaged bar. |
Vibraphones have their own page for motor, pedal, and damper work - see vibraphone repair.
- You send photos of the instrument and the bar, and tell us the make and model.
- We tell you whether it is on-site work or bench work, and send a clear estimate before anything is scheduled.
- On-site work happens at your school. For a bar, we arrange the specialist repair and manage the shipping both ways.
- When the bar is back, a technician reinstalls it, checks the fit against its neighbors, and sets the whole instrument up.
- Everything is cleaned and checked before we leave.
- You are covered by the 30-day guarantee.

A few we're proud of
An Orff resonator box, rebuilt over the summer
An Orff bass instrument came in with the inner resonator panel splintered through - the kind of damage that kills the tone and usually gets an instrument written off. We fitted a new panel, restrung the box, and put it back together on its frame. Before and after below.
A vibraphone with a broken frame
Emily Hicks had a badly damaged vibraphone. A technician repaired the broken frame, cleaned it thoroughly, and straightened out a few other issues while it was apart. Her words: “It is better than new.” The same frame and structural work applies to any keyboard instrument.
Chimes reassembled at a middle school
First Flight Middle School had a set of chimes that had sat unusable for years. We found the parts, reassembled them, and had them ringing in one trip. “The kids were so excited to have working equipment.” Chimes have their own page too - see chime repair.

Common questions
It depends on the work. A yearly keyboard service is $105 per board, a full restring is $65, and a bar cleaning is $85. Cracked-bar repair and retuning is $96 per bar, and we manage that end to end. Frame and resonator work is quoted after we see photos. You get one clear price before we start.
It depends on the crack. A crack running lengthwise along the bar can usually be repaired and retuned; a crack straight across the bar generally cannot, and that bar needs replacing. Either way it is specialist bench work, not a job that happens on site. We handle it end to end: we assess the bar, tell you which case you are in, arrange the repair with a bar specialist, manage the shipping both ways, and reinstall and set up the instrument when it comes back. You never have to track a box.
Yes, through the same managed process as a cracked-bar repair. Retuning a bar is precise bench work done by a specialist. We coordinate it, keep you updated, and get the instrument back to you in tune and set up.
Yes: Sonor, Studio 49, Peripole, and others. Bar pins and pads, box and rail repair, and sourcing replacement bars when one is cracked or lost. This is a common job for elementary and middle school programs.
Most of the work - resonators, cord and suspension, setup, and smaller frame and rail jobs - is done on site at your school or hall. Heavier frame work and any bar that needs bench repair or retuning come to us, and we handle the shipping for you.
A technician lives in Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Austin, Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte. Outside those metros we still travel for the right job. Tell us where you are and we will let you know.
